Walking Tour of Sculpture at the AK

Most visitors to the Albright-Knox Art Gallery make a point of exploring the amazing Fine Art Collection in the interior of the Gallery, but many overlook the world-class collection of art displayed on the Gallery’s Grounds. Over the past few years, a number of dynamic additions have been made to the campus; however, it is important to note that a wealth of outdoor sculpture has populated the campus’ lawns since the opening of the Gallery in this location in 1905. These sculptures reflect varied art movements and highlight the excellence of the Gallery’s collections. This walking tour will explore both past and present installations, as it allows users to overlay historic images onto their current locations, creating a “then and now” effect.

This free self-guided walking tour is a great excuse for art lovers and walking enthusiasts to get out and enjoy the Gallery’s campus. The itinerary will guide you along an efficient route to all of the installations, while supplying you with information on each of the artworks.

Please respect the sculptures while enjoying the tour, and have fun!
